The RCP Lab logo visually represents our framework for understanding natural behavior. Each black polygon depicts a distinct POMDP that integrates three core computations—perception, learning, and planning—represented by blue, red, and green circles, respectively. These individual programs are embedded within a larger purple shaded region, symbolizing the space of possible contexts and the role of contextual inference in selecting and switching between them. The geometry of each polygon reflects the precision of computation: shapes with more sides approach a circle, indicating increasingly exact inference and decision-making, while polygons with fewer sides represent coarser, more resource-constrained approximations. Together, the logo captures the interplay between uncertainty, non-stationarity, and resource limits in shaping behavior.
